We are an organization of black nurses with
a commonality of sharing our expertise in areas of health
promotion. We are emerging as a community resource to assist in
many health awareness ventures. We strive to continually be an
advocate for quality care among our black communities.
We also continue to educate nurses on
disease processes that affect our community. Our commitment to
mentor, guide, and provide scholarships to nursing students is
ongoing.
We are the local chapter of the National
Black Nurse Association which affords us access with over
150,000 minority nurses that recognize the value of belonging to
the only professional African American nursing association.
Scholarship Information
Annually, we award a scholarship to a deserving student in
their sophomore year of nursing school or continuing their education for an
advanced degree. Named Evelyn Paige Parker Scholarship in honor of our deceased
member. Donations are accepted in her honor due to her achievements in community
service. We also are registered with the Poise foundation for donations for
nursing scholarships.
